Improved Quality & Controls
The facility features state-of-the-art technology and equipment for optimal productivity by our in-house expert welders and craftsmen who are experienced with the fabrication environment. The full time Quality Control Manager is a Certified Weld Inspector (2) and oversees inspections, weld procedures, CWI’s, and cleanliness. The shop-controlled environment, stable resources, and reliable working conditions translate to big dividends through improved efficiency, quality, and consistency.

Productivity
Proven to create more productive, more efficient installations in the field. Big spools are delivered rather than building individual pipes and fittings on-site, faster welds are executed in a controlled environment, and spools come out labeled for a quick install. Manpower begins fabricating spools before the job site is ready, putting you ahead of schedule. Less people on the job site ensures a safer, more efficient job.

Innovation
The Fab shop houses the fastest, most cutting-edge welding equipment, technology, tools, fit up, and prep gigs. Inert gasses are piped in from outside to the weld booths to streamline the productivity of our expert welders, craftsmen, and craftswomen. On a field site, relocating all the equipment and staff to the project is never a quick process and fabrication can’t resume as quickly as a permanent fabrication facility.

Efficiency
Remember how the assembly line revolutionized automotive industry? The same concept applies with fabrication. Cranes, carts, trucks, tools, gigs, and fab comes on rollers to the job site. Less on-site movement, congestion, and disruption lowers costs significantly by accelerating the production schedule.

No Weather Delays
A major advantage of shop fabrication for industrial piping is bad weather production delays are prevented. Depending on the area and seasonal weather fluctuations, days or weeks of work are often lost to bad weather, creating ongoing delays if the job-site or work environment isn’t deemed safe. Trades and crafts don’t encounter that disruption in a fabrication facility – they can safely and comfortably finish the work on schedule with no stoppage.

Greater Safety & Security
The fabrication facility is a clean, controlled environment. Less tradesmen and women welding in the field minimizes craft exposure to hazards and risk.  Less risk, less job-site incidents = improved cost management, resource control, and cheaper insurance.

Resource Controls
The facility features state-of-the-art technology and equipment that offers the best productivity and in-house staff of expert welders and craftsmen experienced with their working environment, working with lean fabrication and modular building methods. On a field site, relocating all of the equipment and staff to the project won’t likely be setup to quickly resume fabrication as well as a permanent fabrication facility.

Medical Gas Piping Systems

Medical gas piping systems supply oxygen, nitrous oxide, nitrogen, medical compressed air (MCA) and carbon dioxide to designated areas of a healthcare facility. F.E. Moran personnel understand the needs of medical facilities and take all the precautions necessary to ensure the system is clean and safe for patients and staff.

Certain gases are distributed throughout a healthcare facility via a centralized medical gas pipeline system (MGPS) to provide a hygienic environment or patient safety and comfort. The most common distributed medical gases are:

  • Compressed air (medical and dental patient and lab use)
  • Vacuum (medical and dental patient use)
  • Laboratory dust collection
  • Waste anesthesia gas disposal
  • Gases (patient, laboratory and equipment use)
  • Oxygen supply
  • Nitrous oxygen supply
  • Nitrogen equipment supply
  • Carbon dioxide supply

An MGPS must be installed by an experienced professional because cross-contamination of the gas pipelines could be catastrophic. Currently, no national standards for inspection procedures exist; however, if medical gas piping is corroded or filled with condensation, serious harm to the patient can occur. Facilities should have medical gas piping inspected, tested and maintained regularly to ensure patient safety. You can rely on F.E. Moran for all your medical gas systems and services.
