We Maintain a Quality Control Attitude

Quality is an attitude, a frame of mind; it is the product of our environment, a climate that we created and now control with training and awareness. The success of the quality program at The F.E. Moran Group of Companies lies in the fact that quality is an integral part of our culture.

F.E. Moran Group is certified and dedicated to upholding high standards of people, process, and principles

Our Goal Is to Achieve Zero Incidents

The F.E. Moran Group of Companies firmly believes that all incidents are preventable. The company expects a commitment toward the goal of zero quality-control incidents as the only acceptable attitude. We are responsible for creating awareness, providing training and educating employees to ensure they understand the importance of our dedication to quality.

To meet our objective, all employees are responsible for the quality of their work. All quality control issues must be identified, appropriately evaluated and efficiently controlled so we can prevent Incidents and their consequences.

With every employee making quality control and quality assurance a continual personal responsibility, we expect to reduce hazards and prevent incidents, develop and achieve best practices, and improve the quality of the services that we provide to our customers.

At The F.E. Moran Group of Companies, quality control is a line-management responsibility shared across the entire organization.  Ongoing training and development programs ensure our employees can identify and correct quality issues and confidently support quality work practices.

Our quality plan includes:

  • Organizational structure
  • Details on each employee’s responsibilities
  • Qualifications needed by the employee to fulfill those responsibilities
  • Requirements for suppliers and the materials shipped

The F.E. Moran Group of Companies Quality Management Process

The principles of our QA/QC program are as follows:

  • Do it right the first time. Many incidents and accidents occur during rework operations. We partner with our customers to install a high-quality product the first and only time.
  • Focus on reducing property loss and business interruptions at our customers’ jobsites.
  • Utilize our Inspections, Corrections and Prevention (ICP) procedure. ICP is a process for identifying quality control issues, taking corrective actions and preventing exposures. ICP includes critical-phase inspections and written responses from project management.
  • Attend employee training events, including an orientation and regular quality or Q-Box™ seminars.
  • Conduct periodic quality control inspections.

F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems ISO 9001

F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems is ISO 9001 certified. ISO 9001 specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). The ISO 9001 requirements are broadly separated into eight sections, five of which contain mandatory requirements for a QMS: general quality management system requirements, management responsibility, resource management, product realization, and measurement, analysis and improvement.

Since the release of our quality control manual and training platforms, The F.E. Moran Group of Companies  has reduced the need to revisit projects to perform rework, which can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost productivity. The program has also reduced general liability claims, improved efficiency and established stronger relationships with our customers.
